<h3>When wiring ESD5500E Series controllers:</h3>
<ul>
<li>Use shielded cable for all external connections to the ESD controller.</li>
<li>One end of each shield, including the speed sensor shield, should be grounded to a single point on the ESD case.</li>
<li>Terminal A, B, E,and F should be 16 AWG or larger. Long cables require increased wire size to minimize voltage drops.</li>
<li>Battery positive (+) Terminal F should be fused for 15 A.</li>
<li>Magnetic speed sensors Terminals C and D must be twisted and or shielded for the entire length.</li>
<li>The gap between the speed sensor and the ring gear teeth should be smaller than 0.02 in [0.5 mm] usually backing out 3/4 turn after touching ring gear teeth. Speed sensor voltage should be at lease 1 V AC RMS during cranking.</li>
<li>If auto synchronization is used alone, not with a load sharing module, use a 3 Ω resistor between Terminal N and P to match the voltage between the speed control unit and the synchronizer.</li>
<li>When operating at the upper end of the control unit frequency range, add a jumper wire between Terminal G and J to increase the frequency range of the control unit over 7000 Hz.</li>
<li>Terminal P is used to supply +10 V DC regulated supply to accessories. No more than 20 mA of current can be drawn from this supply. Ground reference is Terminal G. A short circuit in this terminal can damage the speed control unit.</li>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The EG3000 is an electronic speed controller designed for precise speed control of diesel, gas, and gasoline (petrol) engines. The EG3000 installed together with a magnetic pickup (MPU) and an actuator form the engine governor assembly. The EG3000 has adjustable Idle Speed and adjustable fuel limiting function for controlling engine smoke and vibration during start.</p>
<p>The EG3000 controller receives the engine speed signal from a magnetic pickup (MPU). This rotational speed is compared with the setting in the EG3000 and any difference results in an output to the actuator to change the speed. DIP Switch settings on the EG3000 are used to select the frequency range for the MPU.</p>

<h3>Installation Instructions</h3>
<ul>
<li>Protect the EG3000 by installing it inside the engine instrument control panel.</li>
<li>Mount the Actuator close to the engine fuel system. Consult the instructions from the actuator manufacturer for installation.</li>
<li>Choose a point on the actuator control arm at which it can rotate freely and provide both minimum and maximum fuel supply (Do not “bottom out” the actuator-leave at least 2-3 degrees before the On and Off positions).</li>
<li>Usea linear link age for diesel pumps. Use a Non-Linear linkage on gas engines to obtain low Gain at light loads and high Gain at heavy loads.</li>
<li>Mount the MPU on the flywheel housing to measure the rotational speed of teeth on the ring gear. (The timing gear housing can also be used if flywheel housing cannot be accessed.)</li>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The EG2000 Speed Controller provides both an adjustable Idle Speed and ramp, for controlling engine smoke, vibration and warm-up. Together, the EG2000 Controller, Actuator and MPU (Magnetic Pickup) form the electronic engine governor assembly.</p>
<p>The EG2000 receives the signal from the MPU and, depending on the engine RPM, the actuator controls the fuel intake on the engine. The EG2000 receives its power from the engine batteries or an AC to DC power supply rated from 12 or 24 VDC ±20% matching the Actuator voltage. The average operating current is around 2.5 to 3.5 amps, but it may reach 15 Amps during engine start or sudden load changes.</p>
