AVR Specials: 5% Off Selected AVRs
Our AVR specials are now live at Generator Parts: take 5% off selected automatic voltage regulators while stocks last. If your generator’s output wanders, lights flicker under load, or sensitive equipment keeps tripping, a healthy AVR is usually the part that fixes it — and right now it costs you less.
What is on special
We have discounted a selected range of automatic voltage regulators that suit most common generator sets we support in South Africa. Stock moves quickly on promotions like this, so the earlier you order, the better your choice of model. You can see everything that is currently reduced on our specials page.
- 5% off selected AVRs, online and in store
- Genuine, tested parts — not unbranded copies
- Nationwide courier, with most orders moving the same or next working day
- Advice from people who work on generators every day
Why the AVR specials are worth taking now
An automatic voltage regulator keeps the alternator’s output steady as load changes. Without a working one, voltage drifts: motors run hot, electronics see surges, and you get the flicker and nuisance tripping that most people blame on the generator itself. Replacing a tired AVR is one of the cheapest ways to make a set behave again.
Because this is a limited promotion, it is also a sensible moment to buy the spare you have been meaning to keep on the shelf. A generator that is down waiting for a part costs far more than the part.
How to choose the right AVR
Match the AVR to your alternator, not just to your generator’s badge. Check the model number on the existing unit, the excitation type, and the voltage and frequency you run. If you are unsure, send us a photo of the old regulator and the alternator plate and we will confirm the correct replacement before you pay for anything.
Fitting and testing
Isolate the set and let it cool before you start. Note the wiring positions of the old unit, transfer the connections one at a time, and set the voltage trim to the middle of its travel before first start. Bring the set up with no load, adjust to your target voltage, then apply load in steps and confirm the reading holds. If voltage still hunts after a correct fitting, the fault is usually in the sensing wiring or the exciter rather than the new regulator.
Order while the AVR specials last
This promotion runs for a limited time and only while stocks last. Browse the discounted range on our specials page, or contact our team if you would like help confirming the right regulator for your set. Terms and conditions apply.
