Our Generator Part Finder Now Searches 8,449 Parts
We have just finished a big load of new stock data, and the generator part finder now searches 8,449 individual parts. That is close to ten times what you will find browsing our shop category pages, which list 859 products. If you have ever searched our site for a part number and come up empty, this is the page to try next.
The short version: the shop is the curated shelf, and the part finder is the warehouse behind it.
Why the generator part finder shows more than the shop
Our category pages exist so you can browse — AVRs, circuit breakers, alternators and so on. They are organised for people who know roughly what they need and want to compare a handful of options.
The parts database is a different thing. It holds every line item we can source, right down to a single banjo bolt or a circlip, and most of those will never get their own product page. There is no sensible way to browse 8,449 fasteners, gaskets and bushes. There is a very sensible way to search them.
Search by part number first
If you have the old part in your hand, read the number off it and type that in. Part numbers are the single most reliable way to match a replacement, because descriptions vary between manufacturers and ours may not use the same words yours does.
No number? Type what the thing is. “Oil filter” returns 97 results, “fuel filter” 122, “gasket” 739, “piston” 232. Then narrow it down with the filters rather than scrolling.
Filters do the heavy lifting
Four dropdowns sit above the results — Product Category, Brand, Generator Manufacturer and Part Type — plus a stock filter. The stock filter is the one most people miss, and it is the one that saves the most time: switch it to In Stock and you are looking only at the 3,278 parts we can send now.
There are also quick chips under the search box for the things people ask for most: AVR, oil filter, fuel filter, controller and Stamford. One tap each.
Build a quote instead of a cart
This is the part that differs from normal online shopping. Parts in the finder have an Add to Quote button rather than an add-to-cart button. You build a list of everything you need, then send the whole list to us in one go with the Request Quote form.
We do it that way on purpose. A generator repair is rarely one part — it is a gasket set, the bolts, a filter and whatever else the strip-down turns up. Pricing those together means we can check availability across the lot, quote freight once, and tell you honestly what is on the shelf versus what needs to come in.
What to do if nothing matches
With 8,449 lines there is a good chance we have it even when the search does not find it, usually because the part is listed under a different description. Send us the number and the engine or alternator it came off and we will look it up properly — contact us with the details, or add the closest match to a quote and tell us in the notes what you are actually after.
If you would rather browse, the big shelves are diesel engine spares with 559 products, fuel gauges, sensor alarms and flanges with 64, and the current specials.
