The Heritage Day specials, and why these ones

automatic changeover switch, at 5% off. That is not a
random pick. A changeover switch is the part that decides what happens in the thirty seconds after
the lights go out: whether somebody has to walk outside with a torch and throw a lever, or whether
the generator simply takes over and the braai carries on.

The range runs from 63A to 630A in 2, 3 and 4-pole, so it covers a house through
to a decent commercial board. The smallest is the

Sizing one, briefly and honestly

The switch has to be rated for the load it carries, not for the generator you happen to own, and
the pole count follows your supply — single phase or three phase, and whether the neutral is
switched. That last part is a wiring decision, not a shopping decision. Have a qualified
electrician confirm the rating and the pole configuration before you buy, because a switch
that is wrong for the board is worse than no switch at all.
