Description

This tube sensor has been designed to sit flush on top of a tank. There is no gauge face and it relays the readings to an electronic device. The unit is suitable for a 150mm deep tank and can be mounted to the tank by a standard 5 hole flange. The sensor is manufactured out of a standard 316 stainless steel which ensures durability and corrosion resistance.  The sensor is easy to operate and directly measures the amount of fuel to aid in working out fuel consumption. The unit will automatically adjust the readings to compensate for temperature fluctuations. The sensor works on a principle of reading variations in the levels between the electrodes.

The sensor is 150mm long and has a resolution of 21mm. The resistance output signal is 0 to 190 Ohms with a protection rank of IP67 when fitted with a 2mm thick NBR gasket or a 2mm FPM gasket for a fuel tank. It has an anti vibration feature with a rated power of 125 mW. The rated current for the alarm switch is 0.5 Amps. The wiring is a standard PVC material but a corrugated pipe cover is available should it be necessary. The resistance control signal is 0 to 190 Ohms or 240 to 33 Ohms but can be customised to requirement. There is a choice of current control signal of 0 – 20 mA or 4 -20mA. A voltage control signal is also available at 0.5 – 4.5VDC or 0 – 5 VDC. The precision range is 10 – 40mm. Operating temperatures are between -40 degrees Celsius up to 85 degrees Celsius.
