The S5-E350 single tube sensor is 350mm in length. These units come in a wide range from 150mm up to 500mm. The single tube sensor has no visible dial to measure the level of the fluid in the tank but has a very accurate sender that relays the current level to the user. The E5 single tube sensor can be reliable used in either fuel or water tanks and these units work extremely well in either capacity. The units can be used in metal as well as plastic tanks and measurements to determine the length of sensor needed should be taken on the inside of the tank. The plastic tank should have a 25mm space between the end of the sensor and the bottom of the tank and the metal tank should have approximately 12.5mm gap between the sensor and the bottom of the tank.
Technical specifications for the S5-E350 Single Tube Sensor 350MM
This unit has an operating temperature of between -40 degrees Celsius up to a maximum of 85 degrees Celsius. The operating voltage is either 12 or 24 Volts direct current. The rated current for the alarm is 0.5 Amps. There is a choice of current control signal of 0 – 20 mA or 4 – 20 mA. A voltage control signal is also available at 0.5 – 4.5 VDC or 0 – 5 VDC. The single tube sensor is mounted onto the tank with a five hole flange which can be screwed into the tank or a welding flange if the tank is made of metal. If the single tube sensor is fitted to a fuel tank, it is important to fit a 2mm thick NBR gasket or a 2mm FPM gasket.
